More than 700 people attended a chilly Campaign Town Hall for presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg on Saturday, October 12— but it could be argued that the TRHS was equally a star at the event. Standing in front of the school’s striking main entrance to address the crowd gathered on the west lawn, “Mayor Pete” delivered his message under a beautiful autumn full moon. In addition to this visit, Roosevelt hosted several other presidential candidates at the Youth Voice: The Iowa Caucus on September 22. They included candidates Tulsi Gabbard, Michael Bennet, Bernie Sanders, Andrew Yang, Joe Sestak, and Tom Steyer. The spectacular Roosevelt auditorium was the venue for this event.
