The 2024-2025 school year is upon us and in full swing at Roosevelt! Our enrollment is higher than the previous year, which is a strong sign of the desire for students and families to turn to our school for a holistic educational experience. We take the responsibility to educate each child seriously and realize it's a powerful obligation due to the trust families give us. Our ability to be responsive to needs and meet the moment is certainly more possible with the support of our incredible Roosevelt Foundation. As we enter fall, here is a sampling of why the start of the year will be exciting. All of this helps us build momentum for the entire year.
Our admin team read the book, Measure What Matters, and engaged in strategic planning to focus our work this year on accelerating growth in the area of student outcomes academically and our school climate/culture.
Our Homecoming week is 9/30-10/5 and will be full of events! Join us for Community Night on Tuesday, October 1 on our front lawn. We'll have family-friendly activities, a parade, and a bonfire with food trucks on hand for concessions.
Join us at the R Party on November 9 and show your support for Roosevelt. This event is our largest fundraiser and makes a significant difference for academics, activities, scholarships, and our feeder schools!
We have secured funding to build a new band tower/film station and improve the south commons, which will complement the other facility upgrades we completed over the summer. Naturally, the Library is our marquee enhancement this year, but we also made improvements to other parts of our school as we constantly examine opportunities to invest in our students' experience.
